| GP CHALLENGE SEMI FINAL 1 |
| Milan Stajner and Oleg Yelesnev were the standout performers in this meeting and took the top 2 places, despite a fall in one ride for Yelesnev, to progress to the GP Challenge Final. Carsten Ostenstad also scored consistently throughout to ease through with little stress. Brad Easty took the final place after winning a run-off against Juttke and Moller-Bech. Of the rest many were predicting good things from Rumun Dimotrov but his form was erratic, winning two and finishing last twice, over the meeting and he fell a couple of points short. Another fancied rider was Ila Niemi but bike problems in his third heat cost him with a time exclusion when he would have facncied at least getting the 2 points he would have needed to give himself a chance of progressing - he will now face an anxious wait to see if the GP Committee look kindly upon his misfortune when they select the 1 Wild Card spot in the GP Challenge Final. |

| GP Challenge Semi Final - top 4 riders qualify for GP Challenge Final. |
| Gote Nordvall followed up his good showing as a Wild Card in the last GP round by winning this GP Challenge Semi Final by a clear margin to put himself in with a good shot at becoming a permanent member of the GP Series next season. The race to join him was a tight one, with 7 riders ending up separated by just 2 points. Eventually it came down to a 4-man run off which saw Jack Hagen, Kenni Algreen and Ove Dalasen reach the GP Challenge with Ricky Antunovich, just returned from injury, the unlucky many to miss out. It was an impressive effort from Algreen who started with just 1 points from 2 rides but a hat-trick of race wins proved enough to see him over the line. Bedford, Pala and Thoresen all showed up well but couldn't quite do enough to hit double figures and give themselves a chance of progression. There was joy for Antunovich after the meeting though when it was confirmed he will take the Wild Card spot in the GP Challenge after coming so close here. The reserve places for the meeting will be taken by Ila Niemi and Janusz Pala. |
